WHAT’S THE SHOW ALL ABOUT?
G: Well, it’s about people stranded on a deserted island, trying to survive...OH WAIT! Sorry, wrong show.
K: However, similar to the plot of Lost, we too are trying to survive. Lots of little surprises around every corner, unexpected turns, dark scary corners....But in the end its highly entertaining to find two people left who actually look out for each other!
G: Yes, that’s because Katie needs me.
K: Oh George! I do need you!
THE REAL GEORGE HOUSE (according to Katie):
K: Ahhh! This is my chance....payback! No, the real George is exactly what you hear every day. A great, down to earth, family guy. Nothing fake or false. Lives for his family, and loves his little grandson, Alex, so much. He is passionate about music - loves the Beatles!- and is actually kind of quiet off the air. He is my first friend here in Eau Claire...he has adjusted to playing the role of one of my girlfriends! He gives me good advice on everything (his specialty is what guys NOT to date) and makes me feel like he really cares. That’s George House... kind, caring.
THE REAL KATIE BRIGHT (according to George):
G: The real Katie Bright is into today’s country music. One day when she wasn’t looking I flipped through her CD collection and sure enough...country music’s best were all there: Tim, Faith, Keith, Trace, Gretchen, and Chris (as in Cagle). I also stumbled onto Richard Marx and the Spice Girls...but hey, we all have our guilty pleasures! Katie came to country via some guy named Garth Brooks...she saw a live concert video of Garth and was hooked.
Our Katie is single, loves Starbucks, and can take a joke pretty well. You’ll instantly like her when you meet her. I sure did. I recognized right away that the lens she views life from is laid back and fun loving. To work around me all day you best not take yourself too seriously. That being said...Katie keeps me loose and smiling like few people can.
Yes, our Katie is from Chicago. I know what you’re thinking- “Big City Girl”...and the Windy City is a big town and not that there’s anything wrong with being “big city” but I’m here to say Katie is one of the most “down to earth”, classiest people you’ll meet.
Let’s talk Katie and men....If I were to write her personal ad it would look something like this; “Attractive, SWF seeking bad boy redneck to date for exactly 2 weeks. Must have cowboy hat, goatee, and truck. Will dump in exactly 14 days!!” (Remember...I did say Katie has a sense of humor!) Ok...We’re working on this short-term guy thing. Is she just too picky? Is she afraid of commitment? Stay tuned to WAXX 104.5...I say this year is the year she finds “Mr. Right”!! She says, “Yeah, right!”. You should know that publicly I give her grief about this... but personally I think she’s right to hold out for the right dude. If that person comes along...it’ll be overwhelming and there’s not much she’ll be able to do about it!

K: Also, my Second Hand News at 8:10- hey, just because it wasn’t worthy enough to make the 1st cut news doesn’t mean it’s bad!

K: Yep! All the big stars- Keith, Tim, Toby, Kenny, Faith, Gretchen, Martina....
G: Yeah! Because we love it!
K: And we know you love it!
G: And we love that you love it. And the artists love that you love it. And we love that our love is loved by those who love it as much as we love it.
K: Wow...There’s A LOT of love in this room.

G: What can I say? I love Katie, I just love her!
K: Are you kidding me? I can’t fake this stuff....that would be exhausting. George is my partner, my buddy, my....
G: WINGMAN! I’m your wingman, and you’re my wingwoman!
