An area special olympian received a big honor last night.
Billy Noss, the area's oldest competing special olympic athlete, had two surprises last night. One was a 75th birthday party at Carson Park. The other was being named an honorary officer with the Eau Claire Police Department, complete with a real badge. Besides playing softball with Special Olympics, Noss has been a volunteer for several groups, who showed up to honor him last night. In a couple of days, he'll head to Onalaska to play in a softball competition.
