The search continues for a man wanted in connection to a high-speed chase and the theft of several vehicles, two firearms, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.

The Chippewa County Sheriff's Department and other law enforcement agencies continue to search for 39-year-old Eric T. "Buck" Hall, described as a white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 172 pounds with brown hair, blue eyes and a goatee. The chase began on Friday in Chippewa and Eau Claire Counties when deputies attempted to stop a vehicle that was identified has having been stolen in River Falls. Hall escaped on foot. Since then, two more vehicles were reported stolen in Chippewa County on Saturday. One of them had a .223 caliber rifle with 30-round clips and 200 rounds of ammunition, and a 12-guage shotgun with a box of shells. Another vehicle was reported stolen in the Village of New Auburn yesterday. It is described as a 2000 tan Chevrolet Silverado with Wisconsin plates JE7691, with several pink stickers, hunting-themed stickers, and pink camo on the rocker panels. Officials believe Hall may be headed to Vilas County, where he has an ongoing custody dispute with a former girlfriend in the Eagle River area, or to Saint Paul Park, Minnesota. It is believed Hall still has the firearms. Investigators believe Hall is a convicted felon who was just released from prison on June 10th. Anyone who encounters Hall is advised to use caution and report any information to local law enforcement.
