The City of Eau Claire has sent out a total of 97 notices to residents telling them to mow their lawn.
In Eau Claire, grass and weeds on a person's property cannot be larger than 7 inches. That includes the boulevard in front of the premises, too. The notices say residents have 5 days to cut the lawn. If it's not done, the City will cut the lawn, and the person living there is stuck with the bill. Depending on the size of the yard, it could be anywhere from $90 to $250; and could also result in forfeitures of 500-dollars for each offense.
