Burke Calls For Election Money Changes

Mary Burke says she'd like to change how money influences elections in Wisconsin.

The Democratic candidate for governor says big money special interests are playing too big of a role in Wisconsin politics - and that needs to change. 
Burke, a former Trek Bicycle executive and state commerce secretary, raised $3.6 million during the first six months of the year. And she concedes out-of-state fundraising is essential in the current environment.  Republican Governor Scott Walker has far outraised all potential challengers for the November general election. Walker reported raising $8.3 million between January and June, ending the period with $7.6 million cash on hand.
