TRAVELING TIGHTWADS ARE GROUCHY _ It turns out the folks that save the most on hotel accommodations are the least satisfied with their stay. A study (J.D. Power) discovered that "at every level of hotel, the 'price shopper' segment is by far the least happiest, least satisfied of any group. If they're paying anything for anything, they're unhappy."

FLATTERY WILL GET YOU A BETTER BARGAIN _ If you're looking to get a bargain from someone on Craigslist, then go in with a smile. It turns out flattery will get you a better bargain when dealing with people selling their own stuff. Here's the logic -- when people sell their own stuff, they feel a sense of impending loss, so they inflate the value of the product. It's called the "endowment effect," and flattery seems to break down their guard. Translation: If you're interested in buying a second-hand car, it would be a good idea to compliment something about the owner.

HUGE KFC BUCKET APPARS ON FRONT YARD _ In Georgia, a 7-foot tall KFC bucket showed up on Aleena Headrick's front yard. No one knows where it came from -- although it's pretty obvious it probably once sat at the top of a large pole as a form of advertising. The owner of the home Headrick rents says he plans to mount it on it a pole also. 

WORLD WAR Z COMING TO IMAX FOR ONE WEEK _ IMAX is partnering with Paramount to release World War Z on August 2 for a one-week run. Z originally opened June 21 and has grossed more than $460 million worldwide. It's already played in select IMAX theaters overseas.

ANGELINA JOLIE TOPS LIST OF HIGHEST-PAID ACTRESSES _ Angelina Jolie has topped Forbes' list of the highest-paid actresses. The magazine looked at the period of June 2013 to June 2013. Forbes says Jolie made about $33 million during that period. Second is Jennifer Lawrence, who made $26 million. Kristen Stewart, who was ranked first last year, slips to third this time around. But $22 million is certainly nothing to cry about.

A new survey asked men to name the one thing their IDEAL WOMAN would be LEAST likely to do, and men overwhelmingly picked . . . SMOKING.  It got at least double the votes of the other choices, and beat out things like overeating, gossiping, drinking heavily, getting plastic surgery, and owning cats.

Here are a few subtle red flags that people usually overlook in their relationship:  The other person uses ultimatums to get their way instead of compromising . . . they keep you away from your friends . . . your family and friends HATE them . . . and you start having more bad days together than good days.
