Our first city destination was Blair. We drove into Countryside Lefse where we got a tour of the facility, and were able to get a behind the scenes look at how lefse is made. The process is interesting all the way from the start- peeling potatoes, boiling potatoes, mixing the dough, rolling it out, baking and flipping it, and packaging it. It was very neat to see how this is done. The next stop was the big grain bins and then the park with a view of Lake Henry. On our way out of town we stopped and got cheese curds at AMPI. Blair was a good choice as first stop, because we were snacking on lefse and cheese curds the rest of the day!
