Family: Parents: Rich and Cheryl, brothers: Shannon, Kory and Ben (brother-in-law) and sister: Carrie. I'm the baby of the family so my siblings are always telling me that I'm spoiled but I can't help it that my amazing parents saved the best for last!
Why radio? : I absolutely love music, (listening, playing piano and drums, and singing) except when I TRY singing, everyone asks me, "Katelyn, who sings that song!?" I took the hint and decided that getting involved with radio was the next best thing for me to be surrounded by music as much as possible. Getting paid to play your favorites is pretty nice too! But don't get me wrong, when there's karaoke...I've got a microphone in my hand! Come on, I can't resist "Summer Nights" from the Grease soundtrack.
Describe your idea of a perfect date: "That's a tough one. I would have to say April 25th because it's not too hot, not too cold--all you need is a light jacket!!" (I couldn't resist--favorite quote from "Miss Congeniality")
Favorite WAXX 104.5 Artists: Keith Urban is a saucy Aussie and is by far the BEST live performer in country music. I saw Lady Antebellum at Country Jam 2008 and have been in love with their music ever since! Carrie Underwood is gorgeous and her vocals are unbelievable while Miranda Lambert and Reba give me that little sass when I need it. All-time favorite though....Rascal Flatts' self-titled debut CD--all 11 tracks ("Praying for Daylight", "While You Loved Me", "Some Say", ect.) are incredible!
Dare Devil? : I jumped out of a plane at 10,500 feet--that's 2 miles up and 120 mph on the way down! Surprisingly, if I had the money and a really good life insurance, I'd skydive everyday! The adrenaline rush is indescribable and the view is breathtaking!
Guilty Pleasure: Cold Stone Creamery Birthday Cake Remix ice cream in a waffle dish. It's literally heaven in a bowl!
Weird Fact: My first brush with the law was having a police escort on the way to the hospital the night I was born. Been hanging out with cops ever since...by choice though ! :)
